| French football player, who held the record number of selections (76) for the national team between 1976 and 1986, and took part in three World Cup tournaments (1978, 1982, 1986). A defender, most of his playing career was with French club Nantes, and he retired in 1992. He later became a television football consultant (1998–9). |
