| Contralto, born in Montreal, Quebec, SE Canada. She studied in Berlin, and made her debut in Montreal in 1953. She undertook a recital tour of Europe in 1955, and at the invitation of Bruno Walter sang in Mahler's 2nd Symphony in New York in 1956. She has since become a noted interpreter of Mahler's work. |
