| Nutritionist, born in Newark, Ohio, USA. A Yale PhD in physiological chemistry, she established a department of nutrition and developed nutrition education programmes for public schools while teaching at Teachers College, Columbia University (1909–40). Her many publications include the standard Foundations of Nutrition (1927). |
