She is known chiefly for a series of novels written in collaboration with her cousin Edith Somerville, such as An Irish Cousin (1889) and The Irish R.M. series (begun 1899). She also wrote travel books about the Irish countryside and two autobiographical works, Some Irish Yesterdays (1906) and Strayaways (1920). |
