| Actor, born in Newport, Isle of Wight, S England, UK. He trained for the stage at the Old Vic dramatic school, and made his professional debut in 1927. Most of his career had been spent on the stage, often on tour throughout Europe, performing also in French and German. He was probably best known as the forensic scientist in the television series The Expert (1968–70). |
