| Composer, born in Florence, NC Italy. He studied under Pizzetti, began composing as a boy, and in 1926 brought out his opera La Mandragola, based on Machiavelli's book. In addition to two other operas, he produced orchestral and instrumental works, but is probably best known for his songs, especially his complete series of the lyrics from Shakespeare's plays. |
