| Mallorquin and Catalan poet, born in Palma de Mallorca, Mallorca, Spain. Bibliographer of the Catalan Renaissance, his Bibliografía Catalana was awarded the Premi Biblioteca Nacional in 1860. His romantic poetry was collected in L'enteniment y l'amor, Esperança, Amorosas, Libre de la mort, and Fochs follets. In 1866 he was proclaimed ‘Mestre in Gay Saber’. |
