| Writer, born in Rome, Latium, Italy. Her historical novels include Lucrezia Borgia (1939), I segreti dei Gonzaga (1947), Tu vipera gentile (1972), and Rinascimento privato (1985). Together with husband Goffredo and a number of writer friends, she founded the Strega literary prize (financed by the producers of the liqueur of that name) in 1947. |
