| Queen of Denmark (1972– ), born in Amalienborg, E Denmark, the daughter of King Frederik IX. In 1967 she married a French count who took the title Prince Henrik of Denmark (1934– ). She was educated privately before studying at Copenhagen, Cambridge, Århus, the Sorbonne, and the London School of Economics. An accomplished scholar and artist, she illustrated a 1977 edition of J R R Tolkien's Lord of the Rings using the pseudonym Ingahild Grathmer. |
