| biography:
| Artist and teacher, born in Port Adelaide, South Australia. She studied in Sydney and Melbourne, and at the Government Art School for Women in Munich, and travelled widely in Europe, the South Pacific, Asia, Africa, and India. An active champion of Aboriginal painting, its influence is clearly seen in her still-lifes of Australian flowers, and her wood and linocut engravings. |
