| Fashion designer, born in Paris, France. He set up a couture house in Paris in 1925, launching his first fragrances in 1931, and the sheepskin jacket in 1942. He set up a range of companies in perfumes and fashion during the late 1940s. The couture house closed upon his death in 1955, but his wife Hélène took over the perfume department until she left the company in 1989. |
