| Marksman, born in Camberely, Surrey, SE England, UK. He took up shooting as a schoolboy in New Zealand, where his father was stationed as a lieutenant in the Royal Navy. On his return to England he developed into one of the world's finest marksmen, winning two Olympic gold medals, six world championships, and four Commonwealth Games shooting titles. His wife Sarah (1949– ) was a member of the 1988 Olympic shooting team, and together they won the small-bore rifle pairs event at the 1986 Commonwealth Games. |
