| Religious publisher and writer, born in England, UK. Descended from prominent English Catholics, she married Frank Sheed in 1926, and with him founded the Catholic publishing company, Sheed & Ward. From 1940 they lived in the USA, where a branch was established. Her own works include a biography of G K Chesterton. |
