| Dancer and choreographer, born in Toulouse, S France. Having studied dance as a child, she secured her first job with the Strasbourg Opera Ballet before continuing to train at the Mudra school in Brussels. She joined Maurice Béjart's Ballet of the 20th Century in the mid-1970s. In 1978 she founded her own troupe, which in 1981 became the resident company of Creteil, a Paris suburb. She has choreographed for several major European companies, including the Paris Opéra Ballet, Dutch National Ballet and, most notably, a 1985 version of Cinderella for Lyon Opéra Ballet. |
