| Italian politician, born in Naples, Campania, SW Italy. He was one of the Neapolitan Medicis, and held a number of posts under the Bourbons. He was plenipotentiary at the Congress of Vienna (1815), and his domestic policy succeeded in taking into account both reactionaries and liberals. He also implemented a number of administrative reforms, and concluded a concordat with the Papal States. |
