| Composer, born in Pazin, W Croatia (formerly Pisino, Italy). He studied at Florence, becoming a pianist and music teacher. After World War 2 he taught composition in the USA for several years. His compositions make wide use of 12-note technique, and include songs, a piano concerto, three operas, a ballet, and choral works such as Canti di prigionia (1938–41, Songs of Prison). |
