| Electrical engineer and inventor, born in Budapest, Hungary. He emigrated to the USA in 1923 and studied at the City College of New York. He worked on radio direction finders for aircraft and designed portable transmitters for military use, and his most famous invention was an inexpensive sound system used in television receivers worldwide. His Parker Instrument Corp produced some instruments used in the Apollo Moon project. |
