| Writer, born in San Francisco, California, USA, the stepson of Robert Louis Stevenson. He collaborated with Stevenson on several books, including The Wrong Box (1889), The Wrecker (1892), and The Ebb Tide (1894). He became US vice-consul in Samoa, and published several books of his own, including An Intimate Portrait of RLS (1925). |
