| Novelist and poet, born in Bussum, W Netherlands. Her first novel Ontbinding (Decomposition), appeared in 1972. Her experimental prose has a fragmented character and usually addresses the manipulative power of language, and is generally classified as postmodernist. In 1991 she made her debut as a poet with De plons van een vlok (The Splash of a Flake). |
