| Folk hero, born near Aberavon, Neath and Port Talbot. SC Wales, UK. He was accused of wounding a soldier during the Merthyr Tydfil riots of 1831, found guilty, and publicly executed at Cardiff. Many were convinced of his innocence, and he became a folk hero in South Wales. |
