| Psychologist and pioneer of intelligence tests, born in Johnson Co, Indiana, USA. At Stanford University he developed an English version of the Binet–Simon intelligence test, and introduced Terman Group Intelligence Tests into the US army in 1920. He pioneered the use of the term IQ (Intelligence Quotient) in The Measurement of Intelligence (1916), and launched Genetic Studies of Genius (5 vols, 1926–59). |
