| Automobile executive, born in Oakwood, Texas, USA. A Harvard-trained lawyer, he practised briefly in New York before joining Chrysler Corp as an attorney. During his 30 years there (1933–65), he was president of the Dodge division (1946–51), president and chairman of Chrysler (1950–61), and chairman of Chrysler Corp of Canada (1961–5). |
