| Poet, born in Montemurro, Basilicata, S Italy. An engineer, he was involved in different fields, including architecture and advertising. His first works of poetry were influenced by hermetism, as in Cuore (1927) and Campi Elisi (1939), then became prose-like in I nuovi Campi Elisi (1947), and finally dry and concise for Dimenticatoio (1978). His essays analyse the relationship between art and technology, such as Horror vacui (1945). |
