Working with a magazine, he realized the advantage of quick-drying ink, and in 1938 he went to Argentina with his ideas for developing a ballpoint pen, which eventually became a great success (the biro). He was responsible for several other inventions, including a lock, a heat-proof tile, and a device for recording blood pressure. |
