| Economist, born in Montpelier, Idaho, USA. He studied at the California Institute of Technology and Harvard, and taught at Harvard before joining the faculty of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1974. He was a consultant for the World Bank, the United Nations, and several foreign governments, and wrote Macro Models for Developing Countries (1979) and other works. |
