| British politician, born in Criccieth, Gwynedd, NW Wales, UK, the younger daughter of David Lloyd-George. She was elected Liberal member of parliament for Anglesey in 1929, and Independent Liberal between 1931 and 1945. Defeated in the election of 1951, in 1955 she joined the Labour Party and became MP for Carmarthen in 1957. |
