| Violinist, born in Seoul, South Korea. She moved to New York City in 1960 and studied at the Juilliard School, New York City, until 1967, when she made her debut with the New York Philharmonic. Her sister Myung-Wha Chung (1944– ) is a distinguished cellist, and her brother Myung-Whung Chung (1953– ) a pianist and conductor who in 1989 was appointed music director of the new Bastille Opera, Paris. |
