| Singer and actress, born in Melbourne, Victoria, NE Australia. She began acting in TV at age 12 in the soap opera Skyways, but achieved fame around the world some years later for her role in the soap opera Neighbours. In 1987 she began a successful recording career, and her 1988 single ‘I Should Be So Lucky’, had huge sales. Numerous hit singles in Europe, Australia, and Japan followed. All 15 of the singles she first released in Britain reached the Top 10. In 2001 she topped the UK singles and album charts with ‘Can't Get You Out Of My Head’ (from Fever). Her sister Danni has also had some singing success. |
