| Psychologist, born in Tallinn, Estonia. He studied at Berlin, lectured at Frankfurt (1911), and participated in experiments which led to the formation of the school of Gestalt psychology. Professor of psychology at Berlin in 1921, he emigrated to the USA in 1935, where he taught at Swarthmore College, PA, until 1955, and at Dartmouth College, New Hampshire, from 1958. |
