| German resistance fighter, born in Chur, Germany. A philosopher, psychologist, and musicologist, he became professor in Munich (1926) and director of the folksong archive in Berlin (1937–8). He was a member of the Weiße Rose (1942), and was executed in Munich in 1943. |
