| Stand-up comedian, singer, and actor, born in Liverpool, Merseyside, NW England, UK. He made his debut at the Empire Theatre, Nottingham (1954), and played summer seasons all round Britain for the next 10 years. He has appeared regularly on stage in variety and pantomime, on radio, and occasionally on television. He has also had hits with songs, such as ‘Tears’ and ‘Happiness’. |
