| Satirist and writer, born in The Hague, W Netherlands. For many years, Kees van Kooten and his partner Wim de Bie made left-wing oriented, satirical television shows for VPRO broadcasting which, next to good television, resulted in the introduction of a large number of neologisms in the Dutch language. Both as a novelist and columnist, he uses humour, sarcasm, and irony to describe day-to-day themes. |
