| Actress, born in Springfield, Missouri, USA. She made her film debut in Body Heat (1981), and went on to star in such popular films as Romancing the Stone (1984), Prizzi's Honor (1985), and War Of The Roses (1989). She received a Best Actress Oscar nomination for her role in Peggy Sue Got Married (1986), and provided the husky voice for Jessica Rabbit in the film ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit?’ (1988). Later films include Serial Mom (1994) and The Real Blonde (1998). She also earned critical acclaim for her performance on Broadway in Indiscretions (1995) and also for her West End debut as Mrs Robinson in The Graduate (2000). |
