| Psychologist, born in Davis, Virginia, USA. He studied at Johns Hopkins University, and became professor at the universities of Minnesota (1920–9), Chicago (1929–35), and Harvard (1935–55). In 1942 he also became director of the Yerkes Laboratory for primate biology at Orange Park, FL. He made valuable contributions to the study of localization of brain function, and is often called ‘the father of neuropsychology’. |
