| Ojibwa writer, born in Little Falls, Montana, USA. She attended Bureau of Indian Affairs boarding schools, and studied at Dartmouth (1976 BA) and Johns Hopkins University (1979 MA). Her writing won many prizes and awards, and her books include Love Medicine (1984), The Beet Queen (1986), Tracks (1988), Crown of Columbus (1991), and Antelope Wife (1998). |
