| Nazi journalist, and politician born in Fleinhausen, SC Germany. He was associated with Hitler in the early days of Nazism, founding the Nuremberg branch of the party, taking part in the 1923 Munich putsch. A ruthless persecutor of the Jews, he incited anti-Semitism through the newspaper Der Stürmer, which he founded and edited (1923–45). He was hanged at Nuremberg as a war criminal. |
