| biography:
| English mystic who probably lived in isolation outside St Julian's Church, Norwich, E England, UK. Her work, Sixteen Revelations of Divine Love, based on a series of visions she received in 1373, has been a lasting influence on theologians stressing the power of the love of God. Her assurance that everything is held in being by the love of God, so that ‘all shall be well’, and her characterization of the Trinity as Father, Mother, and Lord, has particularly appealed to the contemporary Church. |
