Volumes include Débarcadères (1922), Gravitations (1932), Poèmes de la France malheureuse (1939–41), Oublieuse Mémoire (1949), Naissances (1951) and Le Corps tragique (1959). Among his novels are L'Homme de la Pampa (1923), Le Voleur d'enfants (1926), and L'Enfant de la haute mer (1931). He also wrote plays, including La Belle au bois (1932) and Robinson (1949), and the libretto for the opera Bolivar (1950). He described himself as ‘Le Conteur surveille en moi le Poète’. |
