| Cartoonist and writer, born in New York City, USA. He studied at the Art Students League of New York and at Pratt Institute, later gaining recognition for his cartoon work in the Greenwich Village newspaper Village Voice (1956). His first collection of cartoons was called Sick, Sick, Sick (1958). Passionella, and Other Stories followed (1959), and featured the popular character ‘Munro’. He produced many collections during the 1960s, becoming famous for Feiffer, a satirical cartoon strip. He also wrote revues, plays, screenplays, and novels. |
