| biography:
| Poet and playwright, born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Her free verse, which is related to the work of the Tirade poets Rutger Kopland and Jan Emmens, describes concrete things in ordinary language. By means of this apparent simplicity, she aims at depicting the deeper meaning of the obvious. In addition to poetry, she writes plays and film scenarios, and has translated works of Ibsen and Wedekind. In 1994 she was awarded the Constantijn Huygensprijs for her entire body of work. |
