| Writer, born in New York City, USA. After briefly attending the University of Mexico, he served in the US army during World War 2. He entered journalism, and founded the conservative journal National Review (1955), a platform for his influential political views. He worked for the Information Agency Advisory 1 Commission (1969–72), and was delegate to the UN General Assembly (1973). His books dealt with contemporary politics, and in the 1970s he turned to writing spy novels. |
