| biography:
| Neurologist, born in Paris, France. He is known for his description of an abnormal foot reflex which is symptomatic of upper motor neurone disease, and a reflex of the forearm believed to be due to a lesion in the spinal cord. Both reflexes are known as Babinski's Sign. Independently of Alfred Fröhlich (1871–1953), a Viennese pharmacologist, he investigated an endocrine disorder, adiposogenital dystrophy, or Babinski–Fröhlich disease. |
