After gaining fame as soloists in Russia and Europe, they went to the USA in 1919. While they continued to perform concerts, they both taught at Juilliard, and although he had the more prominent concert career, she lived on to become legendary for teaching an endless succession of prominent pianists, including Van Cliburn. |
