| biography:
| Actor, born in Chinchón, Madrid, Spain. After performing in several plays, in 1960 he decided to become a professional actor and joined the Teatro Infanta Isabel in Madrid. Two years later he became a member of the Teatro Popular Español, with which he toured Latin America, and on his return to Spain he joined the Lope de Vega theatre company. He made his film debut with La familia y uno más (1965, director Fernando Palacios), and later films include La ciudad no es para mí (1965, director Pedro Lazaga), Un millón en la basura (1967, director José M&supa; Forqué), Las largas vacaciones del 36 (1976, director Jaime Camino), Asignatura pendiente (1976) and Solos en la madrugada (1977) both directed by José Luis Garci, Soldados de plomo (1983) directed by himself, and Un lugar en el mundo (1991, director Adolfo Aristarain). |
