| Scriptwriter and cinema critic, born in Madrid, Spain. The author of several books on science-fiction and the cinema, he made his debut as a scriptwriter with El cronicón (1970, director Antonio Giménez-Rico). Among his film scripts are No es bueno que el hombre esté solo (1972, director Pedro Olea), Una gota de sangre para morir amando (1973, director Eloy de la Iglesia), and Los nuevos españoles (1974, director Roberto Bodegas). He is best known for Volver a empezar which was awarded an Oscar for the best foreign film in 1982. |
