| biography:
| Ceramic artist and painter, born in Bruce Rock, Western Australia. A self-taught artist, in 1939 he joined the Australian Army Survey Corps, where he met artists such as Sydney Nolan. After being exhibited in Melbourne, some of Perceval's paintings were reproduced in the avant-garde periodical, Angry Penguins. He travelled to Europe, and returned in 1965 to take up the first creative arts fellowship at the Australian National University, Canberra. |
