| Theologian, born in Kenya. He taught theology and comparative religion at Makere University College, Uganda, before becoming director of the World Council of Churches Ecumenical Institute, Bossey, Switzerland (1972–80). He now teaches Christianity and African religions at Bern University and is a pastor in Burgdorf, Switzerland. His books include African Religions and Philosophy (1969) and Bible and Theology in African Christianity (1987). |
