| Publisher, and creator of a shorthand system, born in Co Monaghan, NE Ireland. His shorthand system was published in Light Line Phonography and Gregg Shorthand Manual (1888). He emigrated to the USA in 1893, and established the Gregg Publishing Co. His shorthand system came to be the most widely taught and used in the USA. |
