| biography:
| Tennis player, born in Sydney, New South Wales, SE Australia. He won Wimbledon in 1967, the last year of amateur competition, and went on to win again in 1970 and 1971. As part of an outstanding doubles team with Tony Roache, he won the Wimbledon doubles competition in 1965 and 1968–70. He was also the Australian singles champion in 1973 and 1975. Since retiring from the game, he has worked as a tennis coach and commentator. |
