| Footballer, born in London, UK. He spent his whole career with Fulham. The club's director and later chairman, the comedian Tommy Trinder, persuaded Haynes to stay with Fulham by making him the first £100-per-week footballer in the history of the British game. A highly gifted and creative inside-forward, he won 56 caps and captained his country 22 times. |
